Nancy Palazza founded Alternative Employment Specialists in 1998, after working for a large national staffing firm for over a decade. She felt that the DC Metro market was saturated with large national staffing firms and lacked the type of boutique firm she envisioned. Using this knowledge she created a company that offered the type of service normally expected from the large nationals, but she customized specifically for small to mid-size firms.
Within a couple of weeks Nancy had several clients and a rapidly expanding database of qualified candidates. Over 20 years later many of those original clients are still working with Alternative. Referrals and family members of some of the original candidates and clients are still part of Alternative’s candidate database. Clients rely on the personal touch and professionalism that they have experienced over the years and consistently refer their colleagues to Alternative.
